Most aspiring writers are not aware of what is
happening in the publishing industry that is
almost completely closing the door to new,
unpublished, and unagented writers regardless
of genre. Neither do aspiring authors under-
stand much about the opportunities in and even
advantages of:

*self-publishing
*e-books
*publishing straight to e-readers like Kindle

Ramon Presson is a newspaper columnist and
author of a dozen books released by large tradi-
tional publishers. Presson’s newest book, When
Will My Life Not Suck? Authentic Hope for the
Disillusioned is getting considerable national
media attention. However, he intends to self-
publish his next book.
