Biography

Ramon Presson is the author of 10 books including the Love Talks series with Dr. Gary Chapman. He is currently editing the manuscript for his next book, “When Will My Life Not Suck?” due in stores Aug 2009.

Ramon has written feature articles for Marriage Partnership, Discipleship Journal, Christian Single, Single Adult Ministry Journal, and is a frequent contributing writer to Nashville’s daily newspaper, The Tennessean. He is also a columnist for two other local newspapers.
Ramon has journaled since 1985 and leads Creative Spiritual Journaling workshops in the community along with a workshop entitled, “So, You Wanna Get Published?”
While at Wake Forest Ramon was presented with the Academy of American Poets first place award for a collegiate collection of poetry.
Ramon is a clinically certified marriage and family therapist and has served as an assistant pastor for over 20 years. He is currently in private practice and is the founder of LifeChange Counseling & the Marriage Center of Franklin.
Ramon and wife Dorrie have two sons, Trevor, 14, and Cameron, 10. Ramon has killed an alligator on Lake Okeechobee, gone 160 mph around Charlotte Motor Speedway, run out of air at 60 feet during a scuba dive, and officiated the wedding where a bride caught her hair on fire with the unity candle. That was not his fault!
Other than that Ramon has led a pretty normal life. If not counseling, writing, exercising, or playing with his boys, Ramon can usually be found in Borders Bookstore. A recovering bookaholic, Ramon has been spotted at intersections holding a cardboard sign that reads, “Will Work for Barnes & Noble Gift Cards.” Join his wife and their financial planner in praying for his full recovery.
